City Digital "Set top box" (STB) is a device, which is connected to a television at consumer place and which allows consumer to view channels of his choice. The basic function of the set top box is to convert the analog mode to digital signals for viewing channels on television sets.
A smart card is a part of set top box which allows consumer to be viewed which are subscribed by them and authorised by the service provider.
It is mandatory for the consumers to have a STB to view TV Channels, it is a stand-alone unit comes with own remote control.
City Digital offers two different types of set top boxes
1) AVIT
              Incorporating the highly integrated single chipset, C-1721AC is a high performance HD digital cable receiver supporting H.264/MPEG4 AVC decoding. C-1721AC supported Conax CAS with user-friendly OSD (On Screen Display) and stores up to 500 channels with fast inter-channel switching capability, which undoubtedly makes it an ideal choice for viewers like you to enjoy the digital life.
